COACH HOLIDAY ITINERARY
DAY 1 Travel to Bournemouth today for our overnight stop at the Durley Dean Hotel. There will be time to purchase lunch in Winchester today. A cathedral city on the edge of the South Downs, Winchester is England’s ancient capital and former seat of King Alfred the Great. Today, Winchester combines the best of city life with the freshness of the surrounding countryside. Winchester is best known for its 11thcentury cathedral and for the Great Hall, which for over 600 years has housed the mysterious Arthurian round table. Afterwards travel to the hotel arriving with time to freshen up before our evening meal.
DAY 2 After breakfast we travel to Poole to catch the ferry over to Guernsey (crossing duration approx. 3 hours). There are refreshment facilities and duty-free stores on board the ferry. Upon arrival in Guernsey our Tour Manager will escort us to one of the Islands coaches which will transfer us to the hotel. Time to freshen up and relax in the lounge area where we can enjoy a pre-dinner drink before our evening meal.
DAY 3 After breakfast we have a full day guided tour of the island with a local operator to explore the beautiful scenery, beaches and look-out points. Visit the Little Chapel, beautifully decorated with seashells, pebbles and broken china and the Freesia Centre, to witness the various stages of the growing process together with the exotic fragrances.
DAY 4 After breakfast enjoy a full day excursion to the sleepy Isle of Sark, 50 minutes by boat from Guernsey. Arrival transfers by ‘tractortrain’ to Sark’s commercial centre are included, followed by a relaxing 2-hour carriage ride around the island. Sark is the crown jewel of the Channel Islands, nestled in between Guernsey and Jersey. Car-free with spectacular scenery, bays, coastal paths and cliff top views. Sark offers a truly unique experience for those wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of modern-day life. Enjoy time at leisure here before the return boat back to St Peter Port.
DAY 5 Today we enjoy a day at leisure. Local buses are available into St. Peter Port. We can also relax at the hotel and make use of the leisure facilities.
DAY 6 After breakfast we depart the hotel and say farewell to Guernsey, catch the ferry to Poole and make our way home making suitable refreshment stops along the way.
