Additional Information

DAY 1 Head to the overnight hotel in Chester, making suitable comfort stops along the way. We have time to freshen up and enjoy a glass of Bucks Fizz before our evening meal.

DAY 2 Check out of the overnight hotel and travel to Holyhead where we catch our ferry to Dublin (approx. 2-hours long). On arrival in Dublin, travel to the hotel where we check in and enjoy a cup of tea/coffee or a soft drink to welcome us. We have time to freshen up before our evening meal.

DAY 3 After breakfast take part in a half day step-on guided tour of Belfast. There will be time to purchase lunch before our visit to the Titanic Experience this afternoon. Explore the shipyard, walk the decks, travel to the depths of the ocean and uncover the true legend of Titanic in the city where it all began. Return to the hotel late afternoon for our evening meal.

DAY 4 After breakfast visit Antrim Castle Gardens. The Antrim Castle Gardens site is an absolute gem and you will find nothing like these 400-year-old gardens anywhere else. The Gardens are a unique living museum, with layer upon layer of design features and planting added over the centuries. Indeed, rarely is so much history preserved on one site. The many exceptional features include the ancient Motte, the Large Parterre, the Yew Tree Pond and the Pleasure Gardens. There is a garden coffee shop for lunch to be purchased, before travelling to Mount Stuart House & Gardens. Free time here this afternoon to explore the neo-classical house and celebrated gardens, before returning to the hotel for our evening meal.

DAY 5 After breakfast head to the Old Bushmills Distillery for a guided tour. A place where family and friends have worked for generations, in a small Northern Irish village that for over 400 years has kept to the philosophy that hand crafting small batches is the way to produce beautifully smooth tasting Irish whiskey. Afterwards, visit Giant’s Causeway. Flanked by the wild North Atlantic Ocean and a landscape of dramatic cliffs, for centuries the Giant’s Causeway has inspired artists, stirred scientific debate and captured the imagination of all who see it. There is a café here for lunch to be purchased. After exploring all on offer here, return to the hotel for our evening meal.

DAY 6 After breakfast return to Dublin for our ferry crossing to Holyhead, then travel back to the overnight hotel in Chester. We will stop somewhere suitable to purchase lunch today. Arrive at the hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

DAY 7 After breakfast return to home area stopping at the National Memorial Arboretum, Lichfield, for lunch to be purchased.
