HOTEL SOLE, RIVA DEL GARDA****

The 4-star Sole Hotel occupies an enviable position, right on the lakefront and located at the side of the main square in the centre of the lovely historic town of Riva del Garda. As you walk out of the hotel you have a wide choice of shops, bars, restaurants and the ferry stop is just a stone’s throw away. The hotel is furnished in a very traditional style, with an elegant restaurant overlooking the lake, comfortable public areas and a popular bar/ gelateria. There is a lovely terrace at the front of the hotel where you can sip a chilled aperitif, enjoy the lake views and watch the world go by!

Day 1

We depart the UK and cross the Channel before travelling through France to Metz for our overnight stay. Relax and enjoy dinner at the hotel after a day of travel.

Day 2

Journey through Germany and the Austrian Tyrol, taking in beautiful mountain views before crossing the spectacular Brenner Pass into Italy. On arrival at our hotel, enjoy a refreshing welcome cocktail before dinner.

Day 3

Spend the day at leisure in Riva del Garda, a jewel on Lake Garda’s northern shore. Explore the elegant shops and cafés, or join an optional boat trip to the picturesque lakeside villages of Limone and Malcesine (approx. €25pp).

Discover romantic Verona, home to Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet and the grand Roman Arena. Stroll through its charming piazzas and stylish boutiques (shuttle bus approx. €3pp or 20-minute walk).

Day 5

Visit Bardolino on bustling market day* before continuing to the enchanting town of Sirmione, where cobbled streets, thermal spas and a fairytale lakeside castle await.

Enjoy a scenic excursion to Lake Molveno, framed by dramatic Dolomite peaks, followed by a visit to Trento, renowned for its Renaissance architecture and lively atmosphere
