Step aboard for a spectacular Scottish escape, where dramatic scenery, heritage railways and Highland charm combine to create a truly unforgettable holiday. Journey through breathtaking landscapes, charming towns and along some of Britain’s most scenic rail routes.

Day 1

We travel north to Scotland, making suitable comfort stops en route, before arriving at our overnight hotel in Glasgow where dinner awaits.

Day 2

After breakfast, we journey through stunning Perthshire countryside to Inverness, pausing in the picturesque town of Pitlochry. In the afternoon, step back in time with a nostalgic ride on the Strathspey Steam Railway, enjoying beautiful views of the Cairngorms National Park.

Day 3

Today’s adventure takes us along part of the legendary North Coast 500 to Thurso, followed by a memorable train journey from Thurso to Dingwall along the wild and remote Far North Line — one of the most scenic routes in the UK.

Day 4

Embark on another remarkable rail experience, travelling from Dingwall to Kyle of Lochalsh on the spectacular Kyle Line, passing lochs, mountains and glens before free time to explore this charming coastal town. We return to Inverness by coach.

Day 5

We depart Inverness, travelling south through beautiful Highland scenery to Perth, before returning to Glasgow for our overnight stay.

After breakfast, we begin our journey home, pausing at Gretna Green, Scotland’s famous border village, for a final taste of Scottish romance and history
