Day 1
Depart home area and travel to elegant Harrogate via Newark-on- Trent.
DDay 2
Enjoy a scenic drive through Pateley Bridge in Nidderdale, followed by a visit to Thirsk, home of James Herriot, with its charming market square and traditional shops. Return to Harrogate for time at leisure and the chance to enjoy afternoon tea at Betty’s (extra cost).
B, DDay 3
Visit Grassington, a picturesque Dales village with cobbled streets and cosy cafés, then continue to Skipton, the “Gateway to the Dales”, with its lively market* and castle. Enjoy a canal cruise with cream tea.

Spend the day in York, exploring York Minster, the Shambles, and the National Railway Museum (entries extra).

Return home, stopping at Boundary Mills for lunch and shopping.
