Coronation Street Weekend Break.

Join us on this weekend tour to Manchester for fans of Coronation Street. Go behind the scenes of the Coronation Street set, see the Rovers Return, stroll past the Roy’s Rolls Café, and follow in the footsteps of your favourite characters.

Day 1

Depart from home area and travel to Manchester, arriving late afternoon at our hotel.

Day 2

This morning we travel to the Trafford Centre, a large indoor shopping and leisure complex. Home to many restaurants for us to enjoy lunch. If we don’t wish to browse in the many shops, we can visit the Manchester Sea Life Centre (extra cost). This afternoon we make our way to ITV Studios for our Coronation Street Tour. Explore Coronation Street’s famous cobbles as you stroll past the Roy’s Rolls Café or check out Kev’s car shop, Webster’s Auto Centre. Wander past The Kabin, see the most action-packed pub in the North West, The Rovers Return and even Weatherfield North.

Day 3

After breakfast we take a short drive to RHS Bridgewater, a stunning botanical garden which opened in 2020. It is the Royal Horticultural Society’s fifth garden and spans over 150 acres. During our visit we can explore beautifully landscaped gardens, a picturesque lake, and a diverse range of plants and flowers. We can choose from the Bridgewater Café, Stables Café or Garden Cottage Shepherds Hut for something to eat or drink during our visit.

Day 4

After breakfast enjoy a scenic route via Todmorden, Charlestown, Hebden Bridge and the Calder Valley where ‘Happy Valley’ and ‘Last Tango in Halifax’ was filmed, we then continue via Sowerby Bridge to Halifax. Halifax is the largest market town in the Calderdale and is internationally known for its Mackintosh chocolate and toffee (now owned by Nestlé). In the centre of the town, you will find the wonderful Victorian Borough indoor market situated close to Piece Hall which dates back to 1779, now home to history exhibits, shops, bars and restaurants. We then continue homewards making a suitable refreshment stop enroute.
