André Rieu in Maastricht

In 2024, the King of the Waltz and his Johann Strauss Orchestra will again be holding his traditional summer evening concert in his hometown, Maastricht. Let yourself be carried away by an evening with this truly unique entertainer. During the weekend we also visit the amazing city of Cologne.

Day 1

We depart home area to Dover for our short ferry crossing to Calais. We continue through France and Belgium into Germany arriving at our hotel with time to freshen up before evening meal.

Day 2

After breakfast we visit Cologne, the fourth largest city in Germany, situated on the Rhine, Cologne Cathedral will leave you speechless, a UNESCO World Heritage Site which took a total of 632 years of construction. Take a walk down the Schildergasse, Germany's most visited shopping street, also the second oldest street in Germany. Explore the old town, countless alleys with traditional old houses, many now home to boutique shops, galleries, cafes and restaurants. Visit the famous 4711 shop, Lindt Chocolate Museum (entry extra) where you will get an exciting insight into the fiver thousand year history of cocoa or one of the many museums. All day here before returning to our hotel for our evening meal.

Day 3

Morning at leisure before heading to Maastricht around midday. Enjoy a 1-hour boat trip on the Meuse, afterwards we have time to explore the beautiful old town of Maastricht on our own, visit one of the cathedrals and obtain a meal, please note dinner is not included tonight. Afterwards, the highlight of your trip; André Rieu, surrounded by his Johann Strauss Orchestra, will give his best in the Vrijthof. After the concert return to your hotel.

Day 4

After a hearty breakfast we retrace our outward journey making suitable comfort.

The Capitol Musical Theatre is within a 10-minute walk of the Leonardo Hotel Düsseldorf City Center.
