This holiday is based at the wonderful Central Sporthotel in Davos. We include a journey on the breathtaking Bernina Express railway from Filisur, high into the Alps and past lakes and glaciers to travel across the border to Tirano, Italy. We have a ‘Davos/Klosters Card’ included which provides discounts on local transport, cable cars and mountain railways. On this holiday we will see amazing and breathtaking scenery.

Day 1

We cross by ferry into France and continue through Germany to our overnight hotel.

Day 2

After breakfast we travel via Basel and Zurich to our main stay hotel in Davos, Switzerland, stopping on route for lunch to be obtained. We enjoy a welcome drink upon arrival. We can meet Karen in the bar tonight for a pre-dinner drink.

Day 3

Enjoy a full day at leisure. Our ‘Davos Card’ permits free and unlimited use of all local transport, we suggest a trip on the Schwarzalp Mountain Railway for lunch to be obtained in the panoramic restaurant, followed by a visit to the Alpine Garden (entry extra). We will find excellent shopping with numerous boutiques, cafés and restaurants

Day 4

After breakfast we travel to Klosters, offering a unique combination of a renowned mountain resort and the idyll of an unspoilt Graubünden village. Afterwards we travel to Chur, this charming and historic town has cobbled streets, secret courtyard and a large cathedral. Time to explore the area before returning to Davos via Filisur and the verdant Albula Pass.

Day 5

After breakfast we join the driver for a short drive to Davos Platz where we board the Bernina Express. The train route takes us through incredible alpine landscapes and a UNESCO World Heritage Site to Italy. We see some really beautiful scenery on this journey. There are refreshment facilities and on board commentary. Sit back, relax, and enjoy the twists, turns and views from the panoramic windows and arrive in Tirano, Italy. We have some time to obtain lunch.

Day 6

We enjoy a morning excursion to St Moritz. Elegant and chic, it lies in the middle of a lake-dotted landscape and offers one of the sunniest climates in all of Switzerland. Return to Davos for
an afternoon at leisure

Day 7

We depart our hotel in Davos to retrace our journey, making suitable comfort stops we arrive back to our overnight hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

After breakfast we return to the UK by ferry making suitable comfort stops along the way.
