There is also the stunning sea view lounge bar where guests can take in wonderful sea views. Please note: whilst this hotel does have ground floor rooms and a lift, it is a listed building with steps throughout.

To Sidmouth with a lunchtime stop in historic Salisbury.

Day 2

Visit the Donkey Sanctuary, followed by free time in Sidmouth to explore. Enjoy tea and cake this afternoon in our hotel. Later, enjoy carols by the Town Band or Hand Bell Ringers.

Explore Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market with its festive chalets, shops and restaurants. Tonight, enjoy a pre-dinner sherry reception followed by a traditional Christmas Dinner and entertainment.

Cruise the scenic River Exe before visiting Otter Garden Centre’s spectacular Christmas displays and charming Ottery St Mary. After dinner, enjoy music and dancing and a festive team quiz.

Festive Sidmouth, Exeter Christmas Market & River Exe Cruise

A Festive Break in Sidmouth

Our journey to Devon includes a lunchtime stop in historic Salisbury before continuing to the charming seaside town of Sidmouth. Situated on Devon’s beautiful Jurassic Coast, Sidmouth provides a wonderful setting for our festive break. During our stay, enjoy free time to explore the town at your own pace, with its independent shops, cafés and attractive seafront. We also visit the Donkey Sanctuary before returning to our hotel for afternoon tea and cake. Later, enjoy the festive sounds of carols performed by the Town Band or Hand Bell Ringers.

Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market

Experience the wonderful atmosphere of Exeter Cathedral Christmas Market, where festive chalets gather in the magnificent surroundings of Cathedral Green. Enjoy time to browse for Christmas gifts and seasonal treats, as well as explore the shops and restaurants of Exeter. Back at our hotel, the celebrations continue with a pre-dinner sherry reception, followed by a traditional Christmas Dinner and evening entertainment.

River Exe Cruise & Otter Garden Centre

Sit back and enjoy the scenery during an included River Exe cruise, offering a relaxing way to discover this attractive part of Devon. We also visit Otter Garden Centre to admire its spectacular Christmas displays before spending time in charming Ottery St Mary. Our final evening continues the festive spirit with dinner followed by music, dancing and a team quiz.
