Welcome to seven miles of award-winning beaches! The jewel of Britain’s South Coast, Bournemouth is a vibrant and colourful resort with miles of sandy beaches and panoramic views of the coastline, as well as a cosmopolitan and cultural town centre. Join us on this holiday to discover the largest resort in Dorset, popular since the mid-19th century, where there is something for everyone to enjoy.
Day 1
We travel to Bournemouth, Dorset’s largest resort, stopping in Winchester for lunch to be purchased. We arrive at the hotel with time to relax before our evening meal.
DDay 2
After breakfast we join our driver for a coach excursion through the New Forest, a place of ancient history, fascinating wildlife and stunning beauty. Visit Lyndhurst, Brockenhurst, and Lymington.
B, DDay 3
Today we have a day at leisure in Bournemouth where we can grab an ice cream, walk along the seafront and explore the Pier. The hotel is a short walking distance to town and there are many cafes and restaurants to choose from. The town centre is lined with high street names and department stores, as well as a cinema and theatre.
B, DDay 4
After breakfast visit Poole, known for Europe’s largest natural harbour, bustling quayside and beautiful historic town. Afterwards, continue onto Weymouth, one of the UK’s most beautiful seaside resorts, for the afternoon at leisure. Weymouth’s 3-mile beach, which is just minutes from the town centre and historic harbour, is consistently recognised as one of the top ten beaches in Europe. Wander along the level promenade, hire a deckchair or enjoy lunch at one of the Esplanade cafés. The pretty and traditional old harbour, offers plenty for the visitor to see and do including the Nothe Gardens, where visitors watched the Olympic Sailing events in 2012 and Brewers Quay, an antiques emporium with a number of traders selling antique and vintage furniture, clothing, objects d’art, militaria, jewellery and artwork.
B, DDay 5
After breakfast we check out and head for home area, stopping in Guildford for lunch to be purchased.
