Scarborough & The Stunning Yorkshire Coast

Day 1

We depart home area and after making a suitable comfort stop we head for the picturesque market town of Newark for our lunch stop. Afterwards we continue to our hotel with time to freshen up before our evening meal.

Day 2

Enjoy a day at leisure in Scarborough. Relish in the Scarborough charm, one of Britain’s original seaside resorts. There are two attractive beaches, local shops, beautiful gardens and eateries. Take the opportunity to visit one of the first purpose-built museums in the world, The Rotunda (entry extra) which tells the incredible story of Scarborough’s history and the rich fossil-finds found across the Yorkshire coast.

Day 3

This morning visit Whitby, famous for its Gothic ruined Abbey, which was Bram Stoker’s inspirations for Dracula, its quirky shops and streets, the Captain Cook Memorial Museum (entry extra) and fish and chips. In the afternoon we return to our hotel stopping at Robin Hood’s Bay enroute, a pretty old fishing village on the Heritage Coast of the North York Moors with its backdrop of craggy cliffs and sweeping views round the bay it is popular destination for visitors.

Day 4

This morning visit Bridlington, a coastal town with elegant award-winning promenades and a historic harbour. The old town is quiet, charming and unique brimming with local independent shops and boutiques. This is a hidden seaside gem. Afterwards visit the coastal town of Filey which prides itself on award-winning Parks and Gardens. Stroll through the Crescent Gardens as you take in stunning views across the bay.

Day 5

After breakfast we depart Yorkshire and head homewards stopping at the Boundary Mills for lunch to be obtained and for that last minute of retail therapy.
