Join us on this fabulous holiday in Yorkshire, a county famous for its magnificent Yorkshire Dales, the Bronte Sisters, cheese, real ale, and steam trains. Including scenic excursions to pretty towns and villages, a steam train journey, and a visit to Harewood House, this is a holiday you will not want to miss!

Day 1

Depart home area and make our way to our hotel in Skipton, making suitable comfort stops along the way.

Day 2

Travel through the Yorkshire National Park via Grassington to Kettlewell, an attractive stone-built village. We continue to Hawes, England’s magical little market town. Opportunity to visit Wensleydale Creamery or wander round this delightful town. Afterwards we visit Kirkby Lonsdale, a picturesque historic market town on the edge of the Yorkshire National Park. On our return journey to our hotel, we see the famous three arched bridge called Devils Bridge!

Day 3

Visit the delightful market town of Skipton where we can browse the famous weekly market*. We embark on a leisurely 1-hour return canal cruise along the beautiful Leeds Liverpool Canal, with commentary and tea/coffee on board. Afterwards enjoy free time in Skipton before we visit Hawarth where we board for our single journey on the Keighley & Worth Railway.

Day 4

Today we visit the elegant Yorkshire spa town of Harrogate. Afterwards we make our way to imposing Harewood House, with its stunning interiors, beautiful gardens and remarkable views.

Day 5

We say farewell to Yorkshire and head homeward making suitable refreshment stops. We will certainly have a lot of lovely memories to take home.

This charming family-run hotel boasts a wonderful canal-side restaurant and idyllic views of the Leeds and Liverpool canal. Relax with a drink and watch the colourful narrow boats drift by. You might even be lucky to see the local swans who nest on the river bank every year.
