Christmas in Harrogate

From delightful Harrogate we depart on a scenic drive around Emmerdale country and villages. On this Christmas getaway there will be plenty of time to explore Harrogate and relax in the town centre hotel.

Day 1

Depart from home area and travel to Harrogate. On arrival we enjoy a cup of tea/coffee or sherry with a mince pie while our luggage is taken to our room.

Day 2

Our day begins with an 'Emmerdale' drive, taking us through the beautiful countryside featured on the opening credits of the programme. We visit the former spa town of Ilkley then return to our hotel for an afternoon tea with finger sandwiches and cakes. We have an afternoon at leisure to relax at the hotel, there will be a festive quiz and a Christmas banquet dinner followed by Christmas carols with mulled wine, tea/coffee and mince pies.

Day 3

Today brings us to Christmas Day! Swap presents before enjoying a traditional four course Christmas Lunch with hats and crackers. Afterwards, you can listen to the Queen’s speech where
tea/coffee and Christmas cake will be served for you to enjoy. In the evening, you can indulge on a Christmas hot buffet with desserts, followed by entertainment of bingo at the hotel

Day 4

Today we have a day at leisure, perhaps you could explore Harrogate at your own pace and enjoy the sights and sounds of the historic spa town. Tonight’s dinner is followed by evening
entertainment of a festive quiz.

After breakfast we make our way home making suitable comfort stops.

The Cedar Court Hotel Harrogate is a Grade II listed building and was Harrogate’s first hotel. It enjoys a peaceful location in landscaped grounds close to the town centre and provides spacious and well-equipped accommodation. Public areas include open plan lounge and bar. All bedrooms are en suite and have television, telephone, hairdryer and tea & coffee making facilities. The hotel has a lift.
